INTRODUCTION
Kenya's golf opportunities are as diverse as they are
spectacular. Its
not often you have the chance to 'golf with lions' or on the rim
of
a volcano! With 38 golf courses in total 12 have 18 holes, 10
are used
for championships events, 6 are within a 20-mile radius of
Nairobi (Kenyas
capital city) and listed below are Tob Kenya Golf Safaris top 12
clubs.
It is also worth noting that many of the courses are at an
altitude
of more than 1500 meters (5000ft) giving you an additional 10%
yardage
to your stroke!Most clubs have a pro-shop where you can buy what
you
need, and whilst golf carts are not available, Kenya has the
luxury
of caddies who are good players themselves. Not only will they
carry
your set but advise you on local rules, assist you with your
swing,
and generally be your companion and mentor.

WINDSOR GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB

Arguably the best golf course in Africa, its boasts lush,
springy fairways,
island greens, attractive challenging water hazards and big
beautiful

MUTHAIGA GOLF CLUB

Home of the Kenya Open Golf Champions (part of the European
P.G.A),
past winners include Ballesteros, Woosnam and Canizaes. 6676

KAREN COUNTRY CLUB

A very scenic, championship course next to the home of the late
authoress,

LIMURU COUNTRY CLUB

SIGONA GOLF CLUB

NYALI GOLF CLUB

LEISURE GOLF CLUB

The newest golf course in Kenya it is located on the South
Coast.
It opened its first 14 holes in 1995 and promises to be a top
class
golf course on the African continent.
NAKURU GOLF CLUB

Located on the extinct Menengai Crater this course has
stunning
views of the lake shrouded with millions of flamingoes. 6802

NYERI SPORTS CLUB

A difficult, mountainous course is situated next to the
Outspan
Hotel, Home of the late Lord Baden Powell, the founder of the
Boy Scouts.
